Passion of the profession - Disruption in Project Management
IDA Mechanical has previously worked with PMI, Denmark Chapter (Project Management Institute) to create exciting and interesting conferences about Project Management and this year we continue this tradition.
In 2019, we will put a focus on Disruption in Project Management and trends such as Agile methodologies, Artificial Intelligence and bots being introduced to the working environment, as well as an increasingly global, competitive business landscape.
This year’s speakers include leading influencers from a broad range of industries and professional occupations. You will hear from Jonathan Løw, a recognized entrepreneur and motivational speaker, Søren Pind, former Danish Minister and political trendsetter, as well as exciting companies leading in their respective industries – such as AI wizard Martin Börjesson, and many others!

15.15-16.00 PMI´s Pulse of the Profession, Success in disruptive times
The latest version of PMI's Pulse of the Profession publication was about the theme “success in disruptive times” and it contains interesting insights about subjects such as; new ways to work, the future of value delivery, how to manage disruption, the gig economy etc. We have asked Wagner Maxsen from PMI to speak about some of the interesting results.
Speaker: Wagner Maxsen, Former member of PMI´s international board of directors, a current member of PMI´s international strategy oversight committee and principal advisor for UNOPS, an operational arm of the United Nations.

Mr. Pind is former Mayor of Technics and Environment in Copenhagen municipality. He was elected to the Danish Parliament in 2007 and has served as Minister for Development 2010-2011, as Minister for Refugees, Migrants and Integration 2011, as Minister for Justice 2015-2016 and as Minister for Research and Education 2016-2018. Mr. Pind left politics in 2018 and is today Chairman of the Board of Langkjaer Cyber Defence, a company specialising in cyber security.
Jonathan Løw is one of Denmark’s most well-known entrepreneurs and business authors. He has been nominated as Entrepreneur of the Year and is amongst Denmark’s 100 most promising leaders according to a major Danish business newspaper.
In addition to being a serial entrepreneur, Jonathan Løw is the former Head of Marketing at the KaosPilots – named Top 10 most innovative business schools in the world by FastCompany. He is also a former Startup-Advisor and Investor at Accelerace – the leading investment fund for startups in Denmark.
Jonathan Løw’s latest books, Listen Louder and The Disruption Book, both made it to the top of the bestseller-lists in 2015 in the category “Business and Entrepreneurship”. Additionally, Jonathan Løw is the editor of The GuruBook – published in March 2018 by Taylor & Francis.
Løw is the co-founder of JumpStory – an AI-based digital content-platform, which has received a large million dollar investment and has offices in Denmark and Silicon Valley. He is also the author of the foreword to leadership-guru Simon Sinek’s latest book – “Find your why”.
Martin Börjesson is one of the founding partners of 2021.AI, an innovative company working with the future of artificial intelligence. Before that, he was one of the highest profiled CIOs in Denmark as he was heading the digitalization efforts at DSB. In this role, he helped transform the company into having a modern IT infrastructure.
He then worked at Gartner and was a recognized industry advisor within IT and business transformation. In this capacity he was also a strategic advisor to C-level managers in Sweden and Denmark, couching on mission-critical priorities for IT executives, discussing and sharing world-class research, providing peer-to-peer networks.
Wagner Maxsen is a former member of PMI's International Board of Directors, current member of PMI's International Strategy oversight committee and principal advisor for UNOPS, an operational arm of the United Nations providing sustainable project management, infrastructure and procurement services that help implement $1 billion worth of aid in peace-building, humanitarian and development projects. Key responsibilities include leading PPPM maturity assessments, facilitating the development of organizational strategies for units, advising and implementing best practices of project, program and portfolio management, bringing troubled projects back to stability and leading capacity building missions to offices worldwide. Delivering results that truly make a difference in the lives of those in need is what drives him.
With over 25 years of experience, Mr. Maxsen has been responsible for implementing project management offices, delivering programs, projects and capacity building to organizations in countries in the Americas, Africa, Asia, Europe, and Middle East, in the development, public and private sectors, within industries such as infrastructure, energy, IT, telecom, finance, oil and gas, pharmaceutical, automobile and insurance.
Alexander Pinker is an innovation profiler, future strategist and start-up expert. During his studies he founded the Medialist Innovation Group, which specializes in consulting services in the field of innovations, technologies and emerging trends. Through his work for the Munich agency GMM and as a board member of the startup network SUN, he has gained deep insights into companies of various sizes and industries. He combines the inventiveness of the creative with the analytical eye of the consultant and searches with companies for the traces of change that will pave their way into the future.
In order to keep up with the latest developments, Pinker regularly exchanges ideas with his students at the University of Applied Sciences Wuerzburg-Schweinfurt and develops new and disruptive business ideas with them in the course "Trend and Innovation Management". In 2018 he published his first book on the future of retail under the title "Inovate Retail - Innovation Technologies and Digital Strategies for Retailers".
Peter Charquero Kestenholz has been working with Microsoft Project as a business and technical advisor for 15 years, the last 8 years as a Microsoft “Most Valuable Professional”. Peter is deeply engaged in developing new concepts to better bridge the gap between Microsoft Cloud offerings and modern work (PPM) management.
Specialties: Public Speaker Engagements, Innovation Management, Resource Demand Management, Project and Portfolio Management, Business Intelligence and Collaboration.
Apart from being a customer advisor and speaker, Peter also blogs on the subject of Microsoft Project Online and related applications (such as Planner, Microsoft Teams and other modern Work Management tools in Office 365). His blog also focuses on topics such as AI, bots and agile tooling such as Azure DevOps.
